In this role, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our platform, tackling complex challenges in the "ManuTech" sector. We utilize a modern tech stack (React, TypeScript, Tanstack Query) to deliver a best-in-class user experience for our enterprise clients consisting of household names like Pepsi, International Paper, and Morton Salt.
Responsibilities
● Lead the development of key features and provide effective technical solutions to achieve specifications & requirements.
● Architect solutions to maximize development efficiency and application consistency
● Implement and follow safeguards that prevent our cloud-based software solution from downtime.
● Communicate feedback to RCI Designers about feasibility and estimated effort required to accomplish a given task.
● Break complicated features into smaller, manageable features and capture that information in a way that aids PMs in assigning work.
● Provide concise, clear, and expert counsel on technology and development processes to non-technical staff.
● Automate testing and create a sustainable and scalable codebase.
● Maintain documentation about approaches and major technologies used.
● Embody a spirit of iteration and a can-do attitude.
● Prioritize clear communication, promote inclusion, and ensure visibility across all levels of the organization.
● Self-motivate and self-manage with great organizational skills.
● Contribute to and advocate for a long-term vision of our software platform, our coding standards, our development processes, and ultimately our company.
Requirements
● 5+ years of experience building performant and scalable web applications.
● Deep understanding of modern front-end development principles (clean code, component architecture).
● Experience with performance optimization and accessibility best practices.
● A passion for crafting exceptional user experiences.
● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex features.
● Enthusiasm for collaboration and ability to mentor junior developers.
● Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
● Ability to throw away your own code, adapt quickly in a highly agile environment, and commit to intensely iterative software development processes.
● Proficient experience with…
○ React, TypeScript, and relevant libraries
○ Git and Github in a professional team environment
○ Amazon Web Services and Heroku

● Bonus Skills:

Remote work is preferred. Preference given to ET time zones. Quarterly onsite meetings in Richmond, VA are mandatory in attendance.
